I had no idea such a thing existed. Solves that problem of units falling out and hitting dogs etc.

I suspect people will like it. I expect it will be a lot quieter than a conventional window shaker. The only question is how do the drain the condensate up and over the sill.
Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing.

I don't think that would work in my 130 year old brick house with its thick sills. Interesting idea though.

That’s a great idea. We had window units in the third floor windows of our townhouse when I was growing up. Getting them installed in the summer was always a bit of a nail-biter.

Clever but simple design. Surprised I hadn’t seen it before. I wonder if this is the only company that offers such a thing?

I love that concept, not sure about that price though. It does solve a few of the pain points with sandard window units though.

My rusty evap cooler has the house at 70 when its 90 outside. Leaving it on overnight will prob be around 58 in the morning. Just keeping it on low all season the electric bills super cheap and only on the humid days is it not effective (monsoon season). Next year ill probably have to replace, but keeping my motor and pump, I can prob stick a new one myself cheap

My WFH office is in our sunroom and I just got the window AC out of storage and installed yesterday. It’s gonna get hot this summer!

Where do you live that has a chiller compatible climate? W
ondering if it would work in Colorado’s Front Range climate.

That’s assuming the width and wall thicknesses match. I know some european buildings have really thick walls. even in US, some windows have stone window sills outside. That would get in the way probably.

Might work best for North American buildings of the past 50 years or so, many of which are made of cardboard and compressed oatmeal.

Yeah... but when wallpaper is applied, all equations and tolerances go out the window...
